Upon graduation from law school in 1991, Joe joined the law firm of King and Spalding, Atlanta, Georgia, and specialized in complex commercial litigation. GREGORY L. SPERRY. Position: Member. Born: Chicago, Illinois, April 1, 1955; admitted to bar, 1980, Tennessee and 1986, Georgia. Education: Wheaton College (B.A.), Vanderbilt University School of Law (J.D., 980). After his first five years of practice, Greg began serving full time with MAP International (Brunswick, Georgia), a non-profit world relief organization, to provide gift and estate planning services for individuals desiring to maximize their planning for gifts during life and at death. Serving scores of families from 1983 until 1991, Greg facilitated substantial gift commitments for MAP’s disaster relief and health development ministries. In 1991, Greg returned to the active practice of law and continues to specialize in the development of Wills, Trusts, Family Partnerships and Corporations to accomplish clients’ gifting and transfer objectives. With nearly twenty years of gift and estate planning experience, Greg is a frequent presenter at seminars and charitable gift planning forums focusing upon the tax, legal and stewardship aspects of gift planning, with special emphasis upon charitable techniques.
